Kultatassula is a full-service pet hotel located in Unaja, Rauma, right along Highway 8. Founded in June 2021 by Lauri Alho and Janita Jalonen, this loving and professional pet care facility offers a cozy and stimulating environment for dogs, cats, and other small pets.

All Pet Spa services can be booked either during your pet’s stay or separately as an individual appointment.

Rooms & Facilities

The entire facility is equipped with fire alarms, video surveillance, and has been inspected and approved by a veterinarian. Proof of vaccinations is required before arrival. Please note that females in heat cannot be accommodated.

Dog rooms

  • 13 bright and hygienic rooms for dogs: five larger ones (≈4 m²) and six smaller ones (2.5–3 m²), plus a 5 m² recovery room with optional camera surveillance.
  • Rooms can be connected for pets from the same household, and curtains are available to create a calmer space.
  • All furniture and surfaces are easy to clean and disinfect. Beds, mats, and bowls are included in the fee, but owners can bring personal items at their own risk.

Recovery Care

  • A dedicated recovery room is available for pets needing special post-surgery or medical rest.
  • The room can be equipped with camera monitoring for added peace of mind.
  • Staff members are experienced in administering medications and following veterinarian care instructions.

Cat rooms

  • Separate, quiet rooms designed specifically for cats, located away from dog areas to ensure a stress-free environment.
  • Each room offers climbing opportunities, cozy resting spots, and stimulating toys. Cats can enjoy their own space without the sounds and scents of dogs nearby.

Our Team

At Kultatassula, pets are cared for by a team of dedicated and experienced animal care professionals. The staff has formal training in pet care and years of hands-on experience with animals of all sizes and temperaments. Every team member shares a genuine passion for animals and treats each guest as if they were their own—providing not only physical care, but also attention, affection, and enrichment throughout their stay.

Founder and primary caretaker. Lauri is a qualified animal care professional with a specialization in pet care operations.

Calm, precise dog groomer and animal caregiver.

Taru

Certified animal caregiver offering dog massage for wellness and recovery.

Handles marketing, bookings, and staff coordination, while also assisting with direct pet care.
